Editorial Team

Florante E. Delos Santos is the Editor-in-Chief of UNIVERSITAS. He is the Director of the Center for University Research (CUR). He is a tenured assistant professor at the University of Makati. He was a former Assistant Director of the Center for Guidance Services and is the current University Research Director of UMak. He has academically completed his Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry at the Immaculate Conception Graduate School of Theology and finished his Master’s degree in Education major in Guidance Counseling at the University of Makati. He has taught philosophy, theology, English, and social sciences courses. His research interests include philosophy, particularly Wittgenstein and Wojtyla; student services, and counseling. He is also a licensed professional teacher and a Registered Guidance Counselor, and also a certified peer reviewer by the Publons Academy/ Web of Science. He is an active member of the Philippine Integrated Counselors Association of the Philippines, Inc; the Philippine Guidance Counseling Association, Inc.; the Philippine National Philosophical Research Society, Inc., and the Reading Association of the Philippines.

Vincent C. Barcelona is the Associate-Editor of UNIVERSITAS. He is a human rights advocate. He was a faculty and coordinator for Research and the Humanities and Social Sciences at iACADEMY Senior High School. He is now with the Center for University Research (CUR) at the University of Makati (UMak). He finished his Master of Arts in Philosophy in 2016 at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. As a member of the Philosophical Association of the Philippines and Community Development Society of the Philippines, his areas of expertise are Socio-Political Philosohy, Community Development Engagement, and Gender Study.

Mark Vincent E. Valerio is one of the Managing Editors of UNIVERSITAS. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from New Era University. His certifications include Civil Service Professional, Insurance of the Philippines, and Insurance Broker U.S.A. He is currently serving as an Administrative Officer II at the University of Makati since March 2020. His research interest is guided by his accomplishments as a professional with a diverse background spanning over 19 years across various industries. With a robust career in Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) companies, Mark possesses extensive experience in roles ranging from Consultant to Team Manager. Notably, he excelled as a CRB Analyst at Willis Towers Watson from April 2017 to January 2019, where he handled international insurance processes. His tenure at Sutherland Global Services showcased his leadership abilities as a Team Manager and Senior Consultant, contributing significantly to team success through coaching, performance monitoring, and client interaction. Mark's entrepreneurial spirit shone through his previous venture as a Café Owner, demonstrating his prowess in customer service, marketing, and administration. Those among others are his research interests.

Carl Joseph E. Gading is one of the Managing Editors of UNIVERSITAS. He is One of the research assistants at the Center for University Research. He finished Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Development Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. His research interests primarily focus on psychology and sociology, particularly in the realm of human behavior.
