About the Journal
UNIVERSITAS: The Official Journal of the University of Makati is a peer-reviewed journal that seeks to encourage creative and critical understanding, evaluation, and/or interpretation of ideas and practices in various fields of discipline.
The journal is a venue for exchanges of ideas in the academe, particularly the University of Makati but also welcomes researchers’ contribution from other institutions. Thus, this engagement crosses intellectual boundaries- from the disciplines of education, allied sciences, computer science, humanities, social sciences, law, technology management, tourism and hotel management, business, and finance, among others.
Universitas is published bi-annually. It is an official member of the Andrew Gonzales Philippine Citation Index (AGPCI) and listed in the Philippine e-journals.
Articles published in this journal follows the APA 7th edition. They passed the university’s required 15% similarity index via Turnitin. Submissions are required to have been certified research ethics cleared by the University of Makati Research Ethics Committee (UMREC), by a Philippine Research Ethics Board accredited research ethics committee, or any equivalent research ethics committee if the author is not Philippine based.
